Il Verro, Pallagrello Nero, Terre del Volturno IGP, 2016
The Pallagrello Nero Grape variety that almost disappeared and is now recovering since the beginning of the century in a limited area in Campania. Made with indigenous yeasts, in steel tanks and with malolactic fermentation.
Pleasant, rustic and fresh. Intense on the nose, very fruity and moderately floral, and with a mineral background note. On the palate it's soft, with a medium acidity and delicate tannins accompanied by a high sapidity. Overall, a balanced wine even if pushing a little towards softness. Good length finish.
