Visione, Irpinia Rosato DOC, Feudi di San Gregorio 2019
Irpinia, a historical region of the Campanian Apennines, is a unique vine growing and wine producing territory, where vineyards have always coexisted with fruit trees, woodland, olive trees and herbs: a rugged and yet gentle territory with a strong and genuine identity.
Irpinia is an ancient inland whose vineyards were even described by ancient authors such as Pliny, Columella and Strabo. The Irpinia region is very varied, with a succession of mountains, hills and plains with rivers and streams in between.
Visione is a wine that from the name fully embodies the constant desire of the Feudi di San Gregorio winery to look at the future and express their vision. The bottle design recalls its main characteristics: delicacy and elegance.
Interpreting in rosè the autochthonous Campania grape Aglianico, this is the result of soft pressing and skin contact, followed by ageing in stainless steel tanks for 4 months.
Presentation is of a pale salmon pink in colour; the nose is sprinkled with fresh rose aromas and light fruity hints of raspberry and strawberries. On the palate it is fresh and balanced, very pleasant.
