The Primosic Wine Estate has been synonym of success and tradition for many generations in the blessed land of the "ponca" soil. Oslavia, a village that witnessed troubled historical events and yet a symbol of resistance and determination, has been the backdrop for the story of a legendary winemaking family.
Grapes are hand-picked, de-stemmed and placed in open oak barrels. Here indigenous yeast start the alcoholic fermentation, and at the same time malolactic fermentation also takes place. The must remains in contact with the grape skins for 2 weeks, with frequent manual mixing. After that, the wine is separated from the skins and placed in 600-litres barrels (Slavonian oak). Fine-lees-rest lasts for 14 months. After the bottling, that takes place without filtration, there is a finishing ageing in bottle.
The wine presents itself with an intense golden-yellow colour. The nose is fine and delicate, reminding you of wildflowers, with spicy notes. At the palate this wine is dry and mineral, with a finish of nutty almond, typical of the Friulano grape.
