Cinque Terre, Bianco DOC, Terenzuola, 2018
Grape: Albarola, Vermentino, Bosco.
Liguria, Italy
Ligurian winemaking is often referred to as "heroic", due to the hardship in planting, maintaining and harvesting on steep hills and remote contours.
Here is a great example of Cinque Terre from Terenzuola's samll plots overlooking the sea in Riomaggiore
THE WINE
Intense straw yellow with persuasive golden reflections, crystalline and of good consistency. To the olfactory analysis it is intense and persistent with clear recollections of wild flowers, acacia honey, broom and fine marine sensations. Palate in pleasant balance between smooth tones and a god fresh-savoury component that leaves in the end pleasant salty and mineral sensations.
GOES BEST WITH
Pasta, Shellfish, Mature and hard cheese, Lean fish, Cured Meat.
